SelectAWheel does not require an account. Every entry, name, spin history, custom logo, and preference you set is stored only in your browser's local storage. We do not transmit your lists to any server. We have no backend database and no cloud-synced copy of your data.
When you close your browser or clear your local storage, your data is gone. We cannot recover it for you — because we never had it in the first place.

Like most websites, our hosting provider may collect basic, non-identifying server logs — such as the pages you visit on our domain, your approximate region, and your browser type. These logs are used for security and to understand aggregate traffic patterns. They do not contain your entries or your lists.
If we enable privacy-respecting analytics in the future (for example, a self-hosted or cookieless analytics service), we will update this page. We will never use invasive trackers.
SelectAWheel is designed to be safe for classroom use with student rosters. Because we never transmit student names off your device, using SelectAWheel does not create a data-processing relationship under FERPA or COPPA.
Teachers should use the tool on a school-managed or district-approved device, and follow local policies regarding local browser storage on shared computers. As with any locally-stored data, clearing the browser cache removes the information.
If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or California, you have rights regarding personal data — including the right to access, correct, delete, and restrict processing. Because SelectAWheel does not collect or store personal data on our servers, there is nothing for us to access, correct, or delete on your behalf.

SelectAWheel is supported by minimal, non-intrusive advertising. When ads are shown, the ad provider may set cookies in accordance with its own policies. We do not share your entries with advertisers — they never see your lists because we never see them ourselves.
SelectAWheel is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. The tool may be used by teachers on behalf of students in a supervised classroom setting, in which case all student data remains on the classroom device.
If we materially change how we handle data, we will update this page and change the "Last updated" date at the top. Because we do not maintain user accounts, we cannot notify you individually — please check this page periodically if you care about the details.
